WEEK 15

Grissini with chocolate

For 4 servings | Preparation: 30 minutes - Cooking time: 15 minutes

1kg flour 
30g caster sugar 
10g salt 
25g yeast 
2dl olive oil 
3dl water 
4 types of chocolate, 50g each of white, milk, dark and Ruby chocolate

food processor with K-beater

STEP ONE

Add flour, sugar, salt and olive oil in the food processor mixing bowl. Mix all the ingredients with the K-beater at moderate speed. Crumble the yeast in with the other ingredients and slowly add the water. Continue mixing until you get a smooth and elastic dough. Cover with a clean tea towel and leave to set for half an hour in a warm spot. 

STEP TWO

Work the dough to get all the air out and roll it into long thin strips. Transfer these strips onto a lined baking tray and leave to set for another +/- 20 minutes in a warm spot, covered with the clean tea towel. 

STEP THREE

Bake the grissini in a preheated oven at 200C for 12 to 15 minutes. Let the crunchy grissini cool. 

STEP FOUR

Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie and dip the top half of the grissini in the chocolate. Serve as a biscuit with a nice cup of coffee or tea.
